PLA (polylactic acid) is a new type of biodegradable material. The good transparency and certain toughness, biocompatibility and heat resistance of PLA are the main reasons for its wide application.
PLA organic straws can be degraded to generate CO2 and H2O, which will not pollute the environment and meet the needs of industrial composting; the straws extruded at high temperature have good thermal stability, good solvent resistance, gloss and transparency. Hand feel properties can replace petroleum-based products, the physical and chemical indicators of the product can meet the requirements of local food safety regulations. Therefore, it has a wide range of applications and can basically meet the needs of most beverages on the market.
PLA organic straws have stable performance at room temperature, but will automatically decompose under the action of temperature higher than 45℃ or oxygen enrichment and microorganisms. Special attention should be paid to the temperature during the transportation and storage of the product. Prolonged high temperature will cause deformation of the PLA straw.
PLA organic drinking straws are limited by the performance of raw materials, and cannot be used for hot drinks during use, but are suitable for cold drinks.
